They say water is life, and today, that life is flowing freely, cleanly, and reliably at Sicelo Early Learning Centre.
We are incredibly proud to announce that the Hollard Foundation, in a vital partnership with the Dis-Chem Foundation, has officially installed a brand-new borehole equipped with an advanced water purification system for this vibrant community out in Middelburg.
Transforming Challenges into Health and Dignity 🌍⌨️
Before this project came to life, consistent access to clean, safe water was a daily hurdle for the center. In an environment dedicated to early childhood development, water insecurity affects everything from basic hygiene and meal preparation to the overall health of the children.
Now, that script has been completely rewritten. The children at Sicelo Early Learning Centre, along with the surrounding community, have a dependable source of safe, drinkable water right on their doorstep. This initiative goes far beyond just turning on a tap; it is about restoring dignity, ensuring proper health, and unlocking a much brighter, more secure future for these little ones.
Partnering for Purpose: Thank You to the Dis-Chem Foundation 🤝
An impactful, sustainable infrastructure project like this requires a shared vision and an unwavering commitment to community care.
We want to send a huge, heartfelt thank you to the Dis-Chem Foundation. Your continuous support and dedication to nourishing and uplifting vulnerable communities across South Africa have made this life-changing installation possible. Together, we aren’t just building infrastructure—we are safeguarding the health of the next generation.
A Sustainable Foundation for Tomorrow
With the borehole fully operational and the purification system running smoothly, Sicelo Early Learning Centre can now focus entirely on what it does best: nurturing, educating, and growing young minds in a safe, healthy environment.
We look forward to sharing more updates as we continue to work alongside incredible partners to bring sustainable solutions to communities in need.
