Partnering for Change: The 2026 Million Comforts Activation

Million Comforts 2026: Empowering the Girls of Eldorado Park

On January 27th, we officially hit the road for our very first Million Comforts campaign activation! Our team headed to Willow Crescent Secondary School in Eldorado Park with one clear mission: to ensure that no girl ever has to miss school due to a lack of basic sanitary essentials.

The energy on the ground was incredible. We believe that education is a right, not a privilege, and by providing these essentials, we’re helping young women stay focused on their dreams instead of their circumstances.

Our Partners in Change We couldn’t do this alone. A huge shoutout to:

  • The Dis-Chem Foundation: For their unwavering commitment to feminine hygiene and dignity.

  • Suzuki SA: For providing the literal “drive” behind this campaign and helping us reach the communities that need it most.

More Than a Campaign: Building Sustainable Pathways with Million Comforts

Strengthening our commitment to community empowerment.

  • We are proud to confirm our continued collaboration with Mr. Ivan and Mrs. Lynette Saltzman, the Dis-Chem Foundation, CJ Distribution, and Suzuki SA.

As the Humanitarian Empowerment Fund and Community to Career join forces for the 2026 “Million Comforts” activation, our mission has expanded. While we continue to provide essential sanitary support, this new chapter is dedicated to holistic empowerment.

    Our Strategic Focus:

    • Restoring Dignity: Through the continued legacy of the Dis-Chem Foundation.

    • Driving Growth: With the logistical and corporate support of Suzuki SA and CJ Distribution.

    • Sustainable Futures: Bridging the gap between immediate relief and long-term career opportunities.

Together, we are making a difference that lasts a lifetime.

Driving Change: Announcing the “Community to Career” Initiative

We are thrilled to officially announce the launch of Community to Career, a transformative new program born from a powerful partnership between The Humanitarian Empowerment Fund (HEF) and Suzuki South Africa.

At its heart, this initiative isn’t just about corporate social responsibility; it’s about creating a sustainable bridge between untapped potential and meaningful employment. Our mission is simple but profound: Empowering communities one person at a time.

A Partnership Fueled by Purpose

The “Community to Career” program unites three distinct forces to drive social mobility:

  • The Humanitarian Empowerment Fund (HEF): Bringing their deep-rooted expertise in community upliftment and identifying those most in need of a hand up.

  • Suzuki South Africa: Providing the logistical engine, brand heritage, and commitment to mobility that makes this scale of outreach possible.

  • The Community: The vital source of talent, resilience, and ambition that we aim to unlock.

Beyond the Handout: Building a Pipeline

We believe that true empowerment doesn’t come from a once-off donation, but from providing the tools for self-sufficiency. This program focuses on:

  1. Skills Development: Identifying high-demand niches and providing the necessary training.

  2. Mentorship: Connecting participants with industry professionals to guide their career paths.

  3. Sustainable Employment: Facilitating placements and opportunities within the automotive sector and beyond.

Why This Matters Now

In a landscape where unemployment remains one of our greatest challenges, the “Community to Career” initiative seeks to prove that with the right partnership, we can turn the tide. By investing in an individual, we aren’t just changing one life—we are impacting a household, a neighborhood, and ultimately, our economy.

“Mobility is more than just moving from point A to point B; it’s about moving upward in life. Partnering with HEF allows us to use our resources to fuel the dreams of South Africans who just need a starting line.” — Suzuki SA Team

Disaster Relief Needed – Floods in Mpumalanga and Limpopo

Emergency Appeal: Supporting Flood Victims in Mpumalanga and Limpopo

The Humanitarian Empowerment Fund is responding to the catastrophic flooding currently affecting communities across Mpumalanga and Limpopo. The situation is dire: 30 individuals are confirmed to have lost their lives, and search and rescue operations remain active as the community looks for those still missing.

Families have watched their homes wash away, leaving them displaced and reliant on emergency shelters. The need for basic necessities is overwhelming.

We are calling on our community to assist in any way possible. We are currently collecting:

  • Warmth: Blankets and clothing.

  • Nutrition: Non-perishable foods and ready-to-eat warm meals.

  • Hygiene: Basic toiletries and sanitary products.

Your generosity can provide a lifeline to a family in crisis. To coordinate a donation or to find out how you can support our relief efforts, please reach out to us directly:
