The energy on the field on June 16th was absolutely electric. There is no better way to honor the spirit of Youth Day than by celebrating the passion, grit, and bright futures of our young athletes, and this year’s Suzuki 7s Rugby Festival did exactly that! It was an absolute masterclass in raw talent, seamless teamwork, and vibrant community spirit.
The tournament brought together eight incredible primary schools representing Claremont, Newclare, and Eldorado Park. Featuring both Under-11 and Under-13 boys’ and girls’ divisions, the festival put the next generation of South African rugby talent on center stage—and they did not disappoint! From lightning-fast sprints down the wing to textbook defensive stands, the skill on display was truly next-level. 🙌🔥

Mentorship That Matters: Honoring Our Coaching Team 👑
While the talent on display was phenomenal, it is the guidance from the sidelines that truly shapes these players. A special, deeply appreciative thank you goes to Head Coach Jonathan Mokuena and his phenomenal, dedicated coaching staff.
Your passion for working with these youngsters goes far beyond the X’s and O’s of rugby tactics. You are teaching them about discipline, resilience, and camaraderie—lessons that will serve them long after the final whistle blows. You are truly shaping the future of the game!
Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow 🚀
The tournament may be wrapped up, but the inspiration from this Youth Day is just getting started. Congratulations to every school, team, and player who stepped onto the grass—you played with immense heart and made your communities proud.
