What an incredible day it was on June 16th! The West Rand was buzzing with energy and excitement as we held our first-ever Sevens Rugby tournament, a day made possible by the incredible partnership between Suzuki and HEF.
Four primary schools—Claremont, Everest, Newclare, and Westbury—participated, each bringing their A-game to the field. For these young athletes, it was the culmination of a rewarding eight-week journey. We owe a huge shoutout to Jonathan Mokuena, a Springbok 7s legend and UJ coach, and his dedicated staff. They led an intensive rugby development program, and today, the kids got to showcase all the skills and teamwork they’d been honing. The talent on display was truly inspiring!
