The connections made today is life changing and will have a long term positive effect on the boys of our country.
Young primary school boys from impoverished communities interacted with University of Johannesburg (UJ) rugby players picking up on some pro tips. Many of these UJ players, who come from these communities are there because they were blessed with bursaries which affords them the opportunity to make a better life for themselves. A mini training clinic was an opportunity to give a little back and inspire the younger boys who took every opportunity to learn disciplines and skills of the game.
Our wonderful partners came to the party in a big way to give the UJ boys a boost and some inspiration. Nativa brought a wonderful supplement starter kit and committed to support the team further this year. Dis-Chem Foundation sponsored the day showing their commitment to helping our communities in any way possible. In addition they brought supplies for the team. To top it off, which seemed to be the highlight of the day, Legends Barbers gave team members expertly crafted hair cuts which the boys were eager to show off.
More to come as we plan to bring more rugby clinics and support to our communities.
