The Ubuntu 360 Approach

Through food security, education and restoration, we provide tools for individuals on their life journey, aid for a family – regaining dignity and respect and empowerment for a community to establish itself holistically.

Building Sustainable Communities through Economic Development and Foundation Work

Food Security

A key focus area. It is almost impossible to think of education, restoration or any other holistic approach to a community without first ensuring the people have food to eat.

A foundational element of sustainability is education for both children and adults. Involvement includes ECD, Bursaries, Adult education and Agricultural training.

Restoration and rehabilitation are focus areas for HEF to holistically support a community. This includes establishing 'Centres of Excellence' and running of various programs.

Because of our partners and sponsors, we're doing more good for more people!

HEF Covid-19 Pandemic Response

HEF responded immediately to assist in helping those who did not have the means to help themselves during the country lock down announced in April 2020.

Areas of operation:
Gauteng: Newclare, West Rand and Rand West. North West: Bapong and surrounding rural villages up to Uitkyk. Western Province: Elsies River and Bloekombos.

Assistance was provided for the poor, single mothers and widows with children, orphans and the aged who live in impoverished communities.

In 2020, with the help of partners and donations, HEF provided over 85 tons of maize meal, 7,500 food hampers, 9,000 hand sanitisers, 125,800 hot meals, 6 tons of blankets and clothes. Our “Grow your own food” program was launched during the lockdown period by planting over 1,000 organic vegetable gardens reaping 100 tons of vegetables which created a constant supply of food for impoverished communities.
